SuperPond patented Bac-Tabs contain a unique microbial system specifically formulated to remove excess organic nutrients such as phosphorous and nitrates from the entire water column. When aqueous environments are overloaded with organic nutrients they tend to become overrun with undesirable growth and the entire aquatic ecosystem becomes unbalanced.

Bac-Tabs contains 58 strains of select aerobic and facultative bacteria capable of rapidly biodegrading cellulose, lignin, hydrocarbons and other organic contaminants in aqueous environments. A number of these proprietary strains also utilize the excess phosphorous and nitrates to satiate their metabolic functions. When the excess organic load is removed it results in the elimination of organic sediment, suspended particulate matter and foul odors thereby providing for naturally cleaner, clearer water.

SuperPond Bac-Tabs work best when water temperatures are between 50-100 degrees F. In order for the microbial system to establish itself and provide maximum efficacy the water must contain a minimum of 5 - 6 % dissolved oxygen. SuperPond strongly recommends bottom aeration utilizing a diffused air system to maintain dissolved oxygen levels. In the event mechanical aeration is not feasible SuperPond has developed a unique Biochemical Oxygen Release System, which provides a continuous source of slow release oxygen to expedite and maintain microbial establishment.

Typically you will see an improvement in water clarity within 2 weeks of implementing the program again provided adequate dissolved oxygen levels are maintained.

Begin by applying shock dose once water temperatures reach 45 - 50^O F. Two weeks after shock dose begin with monthly maintenance dose. If pond is extremely dirty apply shock dose at two week intervals until water clarity is observed then revert to maintenance dose. Broadcast product over entire surface of pond / lake, avoid dumping in one centralized location. For optimum results maintain dissolved oxygen @ 5 – 6 ppm.

NEW! IMPROVED LYMNOZYME

LymnoZyme is a wonderful new and improved biological formula of natural occurring bacteria, enzymes and micro nutrients that when introduced into pond water infected with Aeromonas, Pseudomonas or any gram negative or gram positive bacteria, competes with these pathogens for the nutrients in the water that they depend on for their survival while waiting to attack fish. When used as directed, Lymnozyme will reduce the bacterial count of Aeromonas, Pseudomonas or pathogens to such low levels that they will not be a threat to the health of  your fish. It is impossible to completely remove the Aeromonas, and Pseudomonas bacteria from the pond water, but Lymnozyme, when used on a regular basis, will keep the Aeromonas, Pseudomonas and other pathogens levels so low they will not affect your fish.

Lymnozyme is not a medication and is safe for your fish when used as directed. Don't forget to turn off your UV light during the treatment program for Lymnozyme. Lymnozyme does not compete with Microbe-Lift due to the fact that the two materials are removing different nutrients from the water. While Microbe-Lift removes nutrients which normally feed algae (ammonia, nitrogen, etc), Lymnozyme removes the nutrients which Aeromonas and Pseudomonas require to survive in your pond (fish waste materials). Because they work to remove different nutrients, Microbe-Lift and LymnoZyme can both be used at the same time.

Lymnozyme now does not have to be refrigerated to extend it's bottled life to beyond one month  should be refrigerated for longer life). Lymnozyme will remain viable for one to two years without refrigeration, or longer with refrigeration. Similar to Microbe-Lift, Lymnozyme requires an initial treatment of 3 doses every 3 days, followed by 2 smaller treatments each week for two weeks. Following this initial treatment, you are then on a weekly schedule which maintains your pond in a condition of high beneficial bacteria levels. If you maintain your pond in this condition, you should never have problems with Aeromonas or Pseudomonas type diseases (hole in the side, hole in the head, etc) except for fish brought in with the disease.

Initial treatment schedule:

1.    20 ml Lymnozyme  per 1000 gallons of pond water each three days, for 3 treatments.

2.    20 ml of Lymnozyme  per 1000 gallons of pond water once each week, for 2 weeks.

Maintenance Application Rate:

Apply 10 ml of Lymnozyme per 1000 gallons of pond water once each week to maintain water quality conditions.

 Important! Fish cannot tolerate ph changes of more than .2 to .3 in a single day. If you must change the ph more than that amount, do it gradually over a period of several days to avoid harming your fish. A significant change in ph can do more harm than the ph level itself!
